Best Young Economist Award 2021

The jury of the Prize composed of the members of the Cercle des économistes and the editorial staff of the newspaper Le Monde, after examining the various applications, awarded the 2021 Prize to Xavier Jaravel.

Xavier Jaravel is an Associate Professor at the London School of Economics, currently on secondment to the General Inspectorate of Finance and a member of the Council of Economic Analysis. A graduate of Sciences Po Paris, he defended his thesis in 2016 at Harvard University. Through his publications (Review of Economic Studies, Quarterly Journal of Economics, American Economic Review, Economic Journal, etc.), he already enjoys a proven academic reputation and is the winner of several scientific prizes.
