Biography

Jean Paul Pollin, Associate Professor of Law and Economics, is Professor Emeritus at the University of Orléans. Over the course of his career, he has held numerous scientific and pedagogical responsibilities. He has been President of the French Association of Economic Science, Editor-in-Chief of the journal Economie et Prévision, President of the Scientific Council of the Revue Economique; He remains a member of the editorial boards of several French and foreign journals. He has directed the Faculty of Law, Economics and Management, the Laboratory of Economics, the Doctoral School of Humanities and Social Sciences of his university.

His area of expertise covers macroeconomics as well as monetary and financial economics, to which he has devoted most of his research. His recent publications have focused on: “The Role of the Financial Sector in the Ecological Transition”, “Monetary Policies in the Grip of Fiscal Dominance”, “The Origins of Monetary Policy Theory”.
