
Biography
President of PSL University
El Mouhoub Mouhoud has been the President of Université Paris Sciences & Lettres (PSL) since December 2024. A Professor of Economics at Université Paris Dauphine – PSL since 2006, he led this institution from 2020 to 2024 before serving as interim President of PSL University.
He holds a PhD in Economics from Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne (1991) and passed the Agrégation (the highest French teaching qualification) in 1994, building extensive international expertise. His professional experience includes serving as:
- Scientific Advisor to the Prime Minister (General Planning Commission / France Stratégie).
- International Consultant for the OECD, the UN, and the World Bank.
- Active Member of the Cercle des économistes, the Economic Research Forum, and the French Economic Association (AFSE).
His scientific research explores the dynamics between the economics of innovation, globalization, competitiveness, and migration. He is a recognized expert in analyzing industrial reshoring and the restructuring of global value chains.
His expertise has led him to teach abroad as a visiting professor, notably at the New School for Social Research in New York and Princeton University.
