The Rencontres Économiques d’Aix-en-Provence was created in 2001 by the Cercle des économistes. This major economic event brings together academics, political, economic and associative leaders, representatives of international institutions and activists from all over the world for three days around a key theme. They are also a space for expression and reflection for young people, who are an integral part of the debates.
Each year, an ambitious theme is chosen and developed in a programme of 50 sessions and debates with more than 300 speakers: academics, politicians, representatives of international institutions and business leaders from around the world. At the end of these three days of debates, a Final Declaration formulates proposals for economic policy.
Beyond the sessions, the Rencontres are also a unique moment, where the usual barriers between disciplines, professions, ages and nations fall down. They are also a great opportunity for informal meetings between opinion leaders and the public.
The Aix-en-Provence Economic Forum is an event open to all and free of charge.
