Isabelle Méjean

Biography

Isabelle Mejean has been a professor in the Department of Economics at Sciences Po since 2021, and affiliated with the Centre for Economic Policy and Research (CEPR). Her editorial contributions include serving as Editor-in-Chief of the journal “Economic Policy” since October 2021, and she has just completed a term as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the “European Economic Review”. Since 2020, she has been a member of the Council of Economic Analysis and is also a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Kiel Institute and the OFCE.

Isabelle MEJEAN specializes in international macroeconomics and international trade. His research focuses on the structure of business networks between firms and its impacts on various global economic indicators.

In 2016, she was awarded the AFSE-Malinvaud prize for her article entitled “Firms, Destinations, and Aggregate Fluctuations” published in Econometrica in 2014.

In 2020, Isabelle MEJEAN was distinguished by the PMJE, awarded jointly by the Cercle des Économistes and Le Monde.

Before joining Sciences Po, Isabelle Mejean had been teaching at Polytechnique since 2007. She has also held positions as an economist in the Research Department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), as well as at CEPII.

Isabelle MEJEAN obtained a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Paris I in 2006.
