Christian Saint-Etienne

Biography

Christian Saint-Etienne is Professor Emeritus, holder of the Jean-Baptiste Say Chair of Industrial Economics at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers, has held various high-level positions, notably as a member of the Council of Economic Analysis, professor at the University of Paris-Dauphine, economist at the IMF and the OECD. He is a seasoned expert in industrial economics. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics and holds Master’s degrees in Economics from the London School of Economics and Carnegie Mellon University.

Among his main publications are important works, including “Strategic Liberalism Against the Chaos of the World” published by Editions Odile Jacob in September 2020, “Trump and Xi-Jiping – The Sorcerer’s Apprentices” published by Éditions de l’Observatoire in March 2020, as well as “Osons l’Europe des Nations” published by Éditions de l’Observatoire in January 2018. His areas of expertise cover monetary and financial policy, public finance and taxation, as well as the strategy and competitiveness of governments and companies. His extensive research and experience provide valuable insights into critical issues in contemporary economics.
