Biography

Jean-Paul Betbèze is a prominent figure in the field of economics and finance, whose activities extend both in teaching and consulting, as well as in research and communication. He has held senior positions in various institutions and companies, while contributing significantly to the understanding of financial markets and monetary policy.

Over the years, Jean-Paul Betbèze has published several books and articles in fields such as economic and financial conditions, business economics and banking economics. His work, including his book “2019, the chaotic year”, is widely recognized and has been translated into several languages

In addition to his academic career, Jean-Paul Betbèze has held key positions in major institutions, such as Crédit Agricole SA, where he was Chief Economist and Head of Economic Studies. He has also contributed his expertise as a member of the CNIS Bureau, the Council of Economic Analysis to the Prime Minister, and the Economic Commission of the Nation.

He currently holds positions on the Scientific Committee of the Robert Schumann Foundation and the French Academy of Commercial Sciences. In addition, he is Professor Emeritus at the University of Paris-Panthéon Assas, testifying to his continuous commitment to the field of teaching.
