The 2019 Best Young Economist Award is awarded by Le Monde and Le cercme des économistes. She received her Prize on May 13 from the Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, Mrs Frédérique Vidal.
Stefanie Stantcheva, 33, is a professor of economics at Harvard University (USA). She is also an associate researcher at the National Bureau of Economic Research, a researcher at the Center for Economic Policy Research and a member of the Conseil d’analyse économique in France. She is a graduate of Cambridge, Ecole Polytechnique, Ecole nationale de la statistique et de l’administration économique, Ecole d’économie de Paris, and holds a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
