Pascaline Dupas : Best Young Economist of France 2015
On May the 18th, Pascaline Dupas, Associate Professor of Economics at Stanford University, received the Best Young Economist of France Award 2015 for her work on education and health policies in Africa.
The prize was awarded by Antoine Compagnon, Professor at the Collège de France, under the honorary patronage of the Senate chancellor Gérard Larcher. The ceremony, taking place at the Sénat, was attended by Jean-Hervé Lorenzi, president of the Cercle des Économistes, Jean-Michel Charpin, jury chairman and Alain Frachon, former chief editor of the broadsheet Le Monde.
Among 41 applications, 3 other economists have been nominated :
- Olivier Bargain, Scientific Director of the Institut d’économie publique (IDEP) at Aix-Marseille University for his work on the impact of public taxation policies.
- Edouard Challe, Research Supervisor at the CNRS and lecturer at the Ecole polytechnique, who studied financial bubble.
- Luc Behaghel, Research Supervisor at the INRA, within Paris School of Economics (PSE), an employment policies specialist, particularly on anonymous CV and Pôle Emploi.
