The Kigali Economic Meetings

27-28

novembre 2023

Kigali Convention Center

KG 2 Roundabout, Kigali, Rwanda

Plan

“The 21st century could be – and must be – Africa’s century.” Echoing these words of Antonio Guterres, the Economic Meetings are organising a first edition on 27 and 28 November in the heart of East Africa, in Kigali. This exceptional event will bring together many economic, political and institutional personalities from the continent on the theme “In times of crisis, what opportunities for Africa?”.

Africa is, without a doubt, the continent that will face the most challenges in the coming years. Yet, in the face of a global economic slowdown and macroeconomic, ecological, political or financial turbulence, the continent’s colossal potential will be the foundation of our shared success. The youth of its population, its development in digital technologies or the ongoing regional integration processes are all levers to be activated for the African continent to occupy the place it deserves.

The Kigali Economic Meetings aim to mark a real turning point in Africa’s role and place in the global economy. Bringing together leading decision-makers, they will provide new solutions on youth, education, the role of women, economic governance, attractiveness and financing of the continent.

Find out right after the full program and the speakers. Like all the events of the Cercle des économistes, the Kigali Economic Meetings are free and accessible to all.
